Engagement

Ok So I thought I would finally get my butt on my blog and let you all know that I am now engaged. :) Devon proposed to me on May 9th right before the Jamie Kennedy concert where I ended up accepting his proposal at the show when the comic asked if we were married and I said "Nope, We are engaged" The Night was an awesome night. Simple by most standards but has some big moments :) After the concert Jennifer Love Hewitt was there so I got the pleasure of meeting her and even got a picture :)

Then we just decided to go over to Devon's younger brothers house to hang out and celebrate. Then come Mothers day I had the pleasure of telling my family and last night Announced it at my gmas birthday party . I am very excited and a little stressed about planning a wedding but mostly excited! Here are some pictures for those of you who have not ever met or seen Devon.

Day with the Boys

So this last Saturday Austin was in town so I decided to steal the boys and hang out. We went to the Kangaroo Zoo. It is a place that has big blow up things to jump on and then black light golf. Then we made our way over to Chuck-A-Rama... yes boys choice lol

slacker lol

Ok I have thought several times that I need to get on and blog but I don't know how I never seem to get it done. The past month I have done some fun things. One of my favorites was getting to go through the draper open house with my family. Seeing the Kids get to see such a beautiful place was just awesome to me :) I have been trying to keep myself busy and my wonderful boyfriend defiantly contributes to that. He constantly wants to be doing something. Austin was in town a few weeks ago as well as some of his siblings and his mom and dad. I don't think I have been to Provo that much since I have lived here ;) just kidding but it seemed like a lot of driving. I enjoy being around his family so it was worth it :) Then just before Austin left I got to take Connor and Chandler out bowling with us. That was really fun for me to get to spend time with them like that.

Then this weekend while I was living a single life with Devon in St George I had the pleasure of going up to NSL. I got to hang out with all the kids. I have to say that I enjoy being around them so much. It is hard for me to be sad when I am with them. They are all getting so big. I love watching them all grow and learn and love how they just love life.  I spent most of Saturday out with Niki and I have to say that I will never say that she doesn't stay busy :0p. Family is the glue that holds me together.. there is no doubt about that. I love you all!

I give

Ok can I just say that February has not been my month! Granite I have gotten to do many fun things, like go see Jeff Foxworthy and Katy Perry and Adele but besides that it has been a train wreck. I will sum it up in one word, Sick! Last week I thought was bad being that I fell and hurt my Right knee.. my good one none the less and then the following day I fell on it again. Fun stuff. Following that I went to a concert which set off a seizure. Let me tell you Awesome! Then the following day I fell and hit my head on the railing getting possibly a slight concussion. I thought that I was totally jinxed and was like really? Thinking that this week was going to be nicer to me I started it out with some hope that the previous week was over. Well boy was I wrong... Now I have the Flu and a double ear infection along with a cold/Sinus infection. I don't know what to do other than cry. Last night I was up all night and desperately wanted my fun body to just let me sleep, but no lol anyway I thought that by getting it out there that maybe my body will start to be nice to me and see that I recognize that I am not wonder woman lol (Not that I ever really thought that) But any it is worth a shoot right? Anyway not trying to be dramatic but I had to whine to someone ;)

The little wonders

Ok So I am not going to hide the fact that my world has seemed a little lost the past bit. Many questions have come up and some that are hard to answer, some that I don't want to know and some that I don't want to ask. I am not myself and I don't like it, but I have learned that sometimes you just have to roll with it.  However I wanted to say that I love the little things. It has been longer than normal since I have seen any of my nieces and nephews and let me tell you I have missed them! Last night I was finally able to get up to see some of them and it is because of them that I decided to write about this. I love how kids can teach us so many things just by being kids. They teach you the simple joys in life, they remind you how to laugh, and even how to cry but then get back up. They show you a love that has no boundaries and no fears. They look at you with those innocent eyes and can just make you melt, even if at the time they haven't been innocent. They teach how the simplest of things can be so fun, all you have to do is make it fun. They teach you that judgments are unnecessary and that everyone deserves to be treated the same. They teach a faith that is undeniable.
When I see these Children and how much joy they bring to my life I thank God for giving me the chance to have them in my life. I hope that one day I will have some of my own. Even with the struggles that they can bring, the lessons they teach are priceless. I want to be able to look at something and have the ability to see it with a child's eyes. I want to wake up in the morning and be excited about the day. Even when my life seems medial or useless, there is not a day that goes by that children don't teach me otherwise.  I love all of my Nephews and Nieces so much and I thank my Siblings for allowing me to be a part of their life. Remember to love the little things.. cherish everyday and look at things with a child like faith. With this I know that we can do anything!  I love you all!
